LiuGong recently completed the first large-scale delivery of its 8100TE hybrid wheel loaders to a major international port in northern China. As one of LiuGong’s long-term strategic partners, the client has already purchased nearly 100 units of LiuGong’s heavy-duty port machinery—including wheel loaders and excavators. The addition of the 8100TE hybrid model further strengthens the port’s leadership in green, efficient, and sustainable operations.

The port handles demanding workloads such as bulk cargo trimming, yard stacking, and truck loading for vessels up to 200,000 tons. These applications require equipment with exceptional reliability, durability, and cost efficiency. The 8100TE hybrid wheel loader represents another milestone in the joint effort between LiuGong and its partners to upgrade port operations in line with China’s “dual carbon” goals.
“Choosing LiuGong is based on years of proven performance in port environments,” said the head of the port’s equipment division. “LiuGong machines are not only reliable and durable but also excel in energy-saving technology. The new hybrid loaders will help us further reduce operational costs and accelerate the development of a greener port.”
Designed for the high-intensity, intermittent load cycles typical of port operations such as trimming and stacking, the 8100TE incorporates advanced hybrid power technology. It achieves three key breakthroughs—higher operating efficiency, optimized total cost of ownership (TCO), and enhanced durability. With frequent start-stop operations, the loader significantly reduces energy losses and shortens working cycles, boosting productivity while lowering fuel consumption.
This delivery marks another solid step in LiuGong’s “Green, Intelligent, and Full-Value Chain” strategy. Moving forward, LiuGong will continue to focus on key sectors such as ports, mining, and infrastructure, driving the electrification and intelligent evolution of construction machinery to deliver cleaner, smarter, and more efficient solutions for global customers.
